Mais um corredor colocará seu nome no Livro dos Recordes. O inglês Andy McMenemy completou nesta quarta-feira, dia 25 de maio, um total de 66 ultramaratonas no período de 66 dias, superando a marca anterior do Guiness de 52 ultramaratonas. McMenemy percorreu 50 km por dia e sua aventura arrecadou fundos para a caridade.
“Eu sabia que este desafio me tiraria da minha zona de conforto”, disse o atleta. “O mais longe que eu já tinha ido antes era cerca de 240 km em seis dias. Agora eu estava diante de 350 km por semana, durante nove semanas. Isso é um total de 3.300 km”, completou.
