O queniano Matthew Kisorio venceu neste domingo (5) a 66ª edição da tradicional Meia-maratona Kagawa-Marugame, no Japão. Kisorio levou 1h00min02s para cruzar a linha de chegada do trajeto de 21 km. “Minha meta hoje era superar a marca de uma hora, mas como corri sozinho a maior parte do tempo acabei perdendo a chance por apenas dois segundos”, disse.
Depois dele chegaram seus compatriotas Daniel Gitau, com 1h01min01s, e Jacob Wanjuki, com 1h01min02s. Entre as mulheres, vitória da etíope Tiki Gelana, com 1h08min48s. Completaram o pódio as japonesas Kaoru Nagao, com 1h10min32s, e Sayo Nomura, com 1h10min34s.
