Cerca de 14.000 pessoas participaram neste domingo, dia 3 de maio, da 38ª edição da Maratona de Vancouver. E, apesar da presença maciça de corredores de outros países, quem dominou a prova foram os donos da casa.
Bernard Onsare, de Calgary, foi o vencedor, ao percorrer os 42 km do percurso em 2h28min26s. Na segunda posição ficou Adam Campbell, com 2h33min33s, seguido de perto por Duncan Marsden, que fez a marca de 2h33min59s.
Entre as mulheres, quem levou a melhor foi Mary Akor, que fez o tempo de 2h46min24s, seguida por Bridget Duffy e Joan McGrath, com 2h52min52s e 2h55min59s, respectivamente.
