O brasileiro Fredison Costa encerrou o domínio de Adriano Bastos na Maratona da Disney, ganhando a corrida neste domingo, dia 9 de janeiro, com uma vantagem de mais de seis minutos para o segundo colocado. O atleta concluiu os 42 km em 2h21min15s. Na sequência vieram os norte-americanos Michael Wardian, com 2h27min39s e Paul Nielsen, com 2h31min44s.
Adriano Bastos, sete vezes campeão no parque temático mais famoso do mundo, vinha se recuperando de uma lesão e não aguentou o ritmo, terminando em 15º com 2h45min09s. Leah Thorvilson, com 2h42min10s foi a vencedora entre as mulheres.
