O britânico Mark Cavendish, da equipe Columbia, terá como principal objetivo na temporada 2010 conquistar a camisa verde no Tour de France – que premia o ciclista mais regular da competição.
Cavendish visa, na primeira parte da temporada, as provas Milão-San Remo e Gent-Wevelgem, duas clássicas. Além do Tour, ele também espera competir no Giro d´Itália ou na Volta da Califórnia, mas isso ainda está indefinido.
Junto com Greipel, Mark Cavendish foi um dos destaques da equipe Columbia na atual temporada.
